Holography and Interferometry Measurement of Wave Propagation in Thin-Walled Shell with Simple Defect
Trnka, Jan ; Dvořáková, Pavla ; Veselý, Eduard
The paper deals with an interpretation of non-stationary phenomena occuring in impacted thin-walled shell with a simple defect. The electromagnetic pulse generator is used to generate stress wave. The response on this loading are analysed by means of the hybrid diagnostics method, consisting in simultaneous application of the double pulse holointerferometry and laservibrometry.
Numerical and experimental investigation of stress wave propagation in orthotropic strip
Zemčík, R. ; Červ, Jan ; Laš, V.
Our intention is to assess the credibility of such homogenization in the case of stress wave propagation induced by impact and apply the experience gained to the non-stationary state of comlex laminated composites together with the consideration of material damage.
Transient loading of thinůwalled structures by electromagnetic impulse generator
Veselý, Eduard ; Trnka, Jan
The paper deals with the use of electromagnetic generator to dynamically load thin shells and plates. The generated stress wave patterns in models loaded with this equipment have been recorded by a double pulse holointerferometry. The device operates by discharge of a high-energy, high-voltage capacitor bank and enables transient loading of models along straight and curved boundaries.
The effect of geometrical dispersion on stress wave propagation
Hora, Petr
The effect geometrical dispersion is that the energy in a wave-packet propagates at different speeds depending on its frequency. This manifests itself as a spreading of the wave-packet in space and time as it propagates through a structure. It is show that duration of a wave-packet increases linearly with propagation distance and also that the duration of a wave-packet after a given propagation distance depends on the input signal.
